• The brain, the nervous system and money
• Money narratives, self-exploration
• Empathetic listening
• Tools for shifting that you can use with your clients
The event will take place on a Zoom Video Webinar. If you would like to attend but can't make the live call, we will email you the recording.
Event Facilitators
Chantel Chapman, What The Finances
Drawing influence from 14 years of experience as a mortgage broker, ten years as a financial literacy consultant, and extensive research in trauma, addiction, behavioural science, and mindfulness. Chantel’s distinct disciplines make learning about money the antithesis of anything you experienced through traditional schooling. Chantel recognized the need to explore the ties between trauma, addiction and money to help people heal, grow, and strengthen their relationship with their bank accounts. After completing meditation and Kundalini teacher training in India and Vancouver, intentional mindfulness for healing behavioural issues with money has become a core part of her financial literacy business. Chantel has been working side by side with Psychotherapist Hiroko Demichelis exploring the links between trauma and money with their Trauma of Money program. Chantel is also the co-founder of School by K&P, an online school for creative entrepreneurs that also provides free education for marginalized communities across North America.
Wellspent
Wellspent is a money management app powered by RBC Ventures that was built to change the way people think about money. The founding team met while working on various projects at RBC. These projects had them spending a lot of time with people, exploring the very complex, emotional and human domain of spending and personal finance. Through their work, they saw the massive divide between the financial industry and how people actually think, feel and experience money in their own lives. Wellspent is the only app in Canada that helps users understand how they feel about their spending. Users can see their spending habits and feelings towards money in a unique and customized experience. This knowledge enables you to track your progress and build positive money habits in the future.
